Al-Ahly qualifies for the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup
Al-Ahly qualified for the Egypt Cup semi-finals after winning a penalty shootout 4-3 over the Arab Contractors in the quarter-finals after the end of the original and extra time in a 1-1 draw. Karim Fouad scored Al-Ahly’s goal in the 68th minute, while Nigerian John Okoli equalized for the contractors eight minutes later.
The Competitions Committee of the Football Association set next January 16 as the date for the two semi-final matches of the Egypt Cup season 2021-2022, between Al-Ahly, Smouha, Zamalek and Pyramids, after they reached this role at the expense of the Arab and Egyptian Contractors and the National Bank.
