Ministry of Immigration: Launching the electronic application to register the cars of Egyptians abroad

Ambassador Soha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, stated that the electronic platform for registering Egyptians has been launched Egyptian cars abroad In implementation of what was stated in Law 161 of 2022.

Ambassador Soha Gendi explained that the launch of this application aims to facilitate the registration of Egyptians abroad who wish to import their cars, stressing that the data recorded on the application will be informationally secured and impenetrable under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications, adding that each person will register with the national number and e-mail secured on the private application. By bringing a car to the Egyptians abroad.

The minister added that registration will be available through an electronic application on mobile phones with both the Android and IOS systems, and accordingly it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

The Official Gazette published the decision of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, regarding the rules implementing the provisions of the law granting some facilities to Egyptians residing abroad, and it is scheduled to start today, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, the four-month period allocated for the payment of financial sums.

The decision stipulates that an Egyptian who has a valid legal residence abroad has the right to import one private car for his personal use, exempt from taxes and fees that had to be paid to release the car, in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in Law No. 161 of 2022 regarding granting some facilities to Egyptians residing abroad. And this decision, in return for paying the due cash amount specified in accordance with the schedules specified in this regard, is transferred from abroad, in favor of the Ministry of Finance in the bank account stipulated in this decision.
