In an interview with the British newspaper, The Guardian, Danilov threatened to target any Iranian military present on Ukrainian territory controlled by Russia.

The newspaper also quoted Danilov as saying, commenting on the Iranian military presence in Crimea, “They were on our lands… and if they cooperated with the Russians and participated in the destruction of our country, we must kill them.”
He added, “The Iranians insist that they do not supply weapons to Russia, but we need confirmation, and until today we do not have anything to confirm their story.”

He also pointed out that the drones, which Ukraine and western countries accuse Iran of exporting to Russia, “cannot be flown without training on how to operate them.”

It is noteworthy that Iran acknowledged that it had sent drones to Russia, but stressed that it provided its ally with them before the Russian operation in Ukraine.
With this admission, Kyiv confirmed Moscow’s accusations of using Iranian-made drones to launch attacks against civilians and infrastructure, although it had been constantly denying these accusations made by Ukraine and its Western allies in recent weeks.
Kyiv said that about 400 Iranian drones have already been used against civilians in Ukraine, and that Moscow has ordered about 2,000 more.
