Investigations revealed that the artist’s son, Islam, was driving his car at a crazy speed on Al-Musheer Street in the Sidi Gaber area in Alexandria yesterday, and the steering wheel was misaligned in his hand, which caused him to run over a child who was walking in the street and cause his immediate death.
The authorities arrested the artist’s son, while the child’s body was transferred to the Kom El-Dikka morgue, where his funeral was held, at noon today, Wednesday.
The prosecution decided to detain the artist’s son for 4 days pending investigation.

It is noteworthy that the artist Iman Al-Bahr Darwish is the grandson of the artist Sayed Darwish, who was born in Kom El-Dikka in Alexandria in 1955, and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Alexandria, then began his singing career by forming a singing choir while studying at the college to present the works of his grandfather, the late artist.
The artist participated in several films, including “A Bird in the Sky”, “Forgery in Official Papers”, “A Tale in Two Words” and the series “My Love, which I Do Not Know”.
