HMD Global started the year 2023 by unveiling a new cheap Nokia phone, which is the Nokia C12 phone that the company offers at a price not exceeding only $ 130.
The new phone comes with modest specifications, based on the Android 12 Go Edition operating system, and a 6.3-inch screen.
This new phone is a sequel to the Nokia C10 from early 2021, although it’s a little smaller than most phones in this series.
Nokia C12 specifications
The phone comes with a 6.3-inch LCD screen with HD + resolution, and the phone weighs 177.4 grams and its dimensions are 160.6 x 74.3 x 8.75 mm.
Nokia C12 is powered by Unisoc SC9863A1, which is a chipset based on legacy 28nm architecture, has eight Cortex-A55 cores (4x 1.6GHz + 4×1.2GHz) and PowerVR IMG 8322 GPU.
The phone comes with 2GB of RAM but has the option to add another 2GB of default RAM.
As for the internal storage capacity, the phone comes with one option for storage capacity is 64 GB, and there is no microSD expansion.
The phone has two cameras – an 8MP unit on the back (with autofocus and LED flash) and a 5MP selfie camera on the front inside a small notch.
The battery here has a capacity of 3000 mAh, and it only supports 5W charging.
The Nokia C12 is a 4G phone, and other wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2.
The latter includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB connector for data and power.
Despite the phone’s modest specifications and its cheap price, the company was keen to present it in a strong structure to keep it from breaking and to last for a long time.
The phone is protected against falls, and it has reinforced glass on the front. It has an IP52 rating (protected against dust and water drops).

Price and availability:
The Nokia C12 comes in at €120 ($130 / £105 / INR 10,500) in a single configuration (2/64GB). It will be available in Germany and Austria first, and will be available in more countries, respectively.
