An Israeli was killed and 14 others were wounded, in two separate explosions that occurred at 7 am local time in Jerusalem, according to a BBC News Arabic correspondent in the city.

The first explosion occurred at a bus station at one of the main entrances to West Jerusalem, while the second occurred about 20 minutes later in the Ramot neighborhood in West Jerusalem.

Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem announced the death of a fifteen-year-old boy from injuries sustained in the first explosion, while ambulance teams provided treatment for another person in critical condition, in addition to two serious and two minor injuries.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the boy was named Aryeh Shobak, while the Canadian ambassador to Israel, Lisa Stadelboer, confirmed that he holds Canadian citizenship.
