An American store manager kills 6 of his colleagues with bullets before committing suicide

Witnesses confirmed, on Wednesday, that a manager at a Wal-Mart store in Virginia, USA, opened fire on his fellow employees in a break room, killing 6 before turning a gun on himself, in the latest mass shooting in the United States.

Two employees who were in the break room said the gunman, identified as Andre Bing, 31, of Chesapeake, Virginia, did not say anything when he began shooting at workers gathered late Tuesday before their night shift.

“I just watched 3 of my co-workers and friends get killed in front of me, Andrei killed them in cold blood,” Dounia Priollo wrote in a Facebook post.

At least 4 others were injured in the attack, which took place while about 50 people were inside the store.

And the authorities announced that they are still investigating the motives of Bing, who came armed with one pistol and many rounds of ammunition. The city said its SWAT team executed a search warrant at his home.

“Investigators are working to learn more about the shooter’s background and possible motive for the shooting,” it added in a statement.

The incident comes in the wake of the killing of 5 people in a nightclub in Colorado Springs, Saturday, and US President Joe Biden described Wednesday’s tragedy as “another horrific act of senseless violence,” referring to a shooting earlier this month that killed 3 students. University of Virginia.

This wasn’t the first mass shooting at Wal-Mart, which has thousands of stores across the United States.

And in August 2019, 23 people were killed in a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, near the US-Mexico border, in what law enforcement authorities described as domestic terrorism.
