Journey is not over Gulf Cup in Basra, IraqAt the stampede incident that occurred in the morning when fans gathered to attend the final match of the championship, today there was another incident.
After the opening of the doors, the organizational crisis moved to the stadium of the final match, where the Iraqi fans inside the stadium took over the seats allocated to the Omani fans.
The organizational chaos witnessed by the Palm Trunk Stadium also crossed over to the seats, despite the organizing committee’s allocation of 5,000 seats for the Omani fans who arrived by private planes to encourage their country in the final match of the Gulf 25 against Iraq today.
Despite the attempts of the security authorities to prevent the mixing of the Iraqi masses with the places designated for the Omani national team, the large crowds of people that entered the stadium, and the Iraqis crawled towards the Omani seats, took possession of them amid the inability of the organizers to intervene or stop the continuous advance.

It is noteworthy that the organizing committee of the “Gulf 25” had determined the share of the Omani national team in the final match with 5,000 seats, as special flights were organized from Oman to Basra, and buses were provided for transportation and the acquisition of match tickets, in order to provide favorable conditions for the fans of the Omani team to attend the match. And support for their team.
